2016 International Book Awards Competition

St. Paul's College: Facing the New Millennium is officially entered in the 2016 International Book Awards competition sponsored by USA Book News in Phoenix and Los Angeles. The book is entered in non-fiction book cover design and also in the category of religion.

Book Celebration at Prairie Ink

St. Paul's College staff and friends celebrated the new book April 23 at the Prairie Ink Restaurant at McNally Robinson on Grant. It was a fabulous evening of good cheer and great food with live music provided by Winnipeg's own Nightfall.

College Book Launch A Huge Success

The recent book launch held at McNally Robinson Booksellers for St. Paul's College: Facing the New Millennium couldn’t have gone better, according to Dr. Chris Adams, Rector of the College.  McNally staff swapped book shelves for chairs in order to accommodate the large crowd.  Readings were done by Bill Wsiaki, Rosemarie Finlay, Sr. Elaine Baete and Matt Semchyshyn.  Editor of the book, Christine Butterill emceed the event which was followed by a brief question and answer period.  Brisk sales propelled the College publication to the top of the McNally Bestsellers list for two weeks in the category of hardcover non-fiction.

McNally Robinson Booksellers Will Host Book Launch - Feb.23, 2016

McNally Robinson Booksellers in Winnipeg will host the official launch of the new Manitoba history book called St. Paul's College: Facing the New Millennium. The momentous event will take place in the atrium on Tuesday, February 23 at 7:00 pm. Some of the authors will read selections from their articles.  A reception will follow where people can speak with the authors and purchase a copy of the book. 

Readers of the book will enjoy colourful photography, as well as, long and short articles some of them scholarly, others pithy and humorous. At the back are extensive lists of anyone who has served St. Paul’s since it began, It also features a helpful subject and name index.

Book Launch Sunday Jan.24

A celebration of the new College history book called St. Paul's College: Facing the New Millennium written to honour the 90th Anniversary of St., Paul's College, 1926-1916 will take place Sunday, January 24, 2016 at St. Paul's College - University of Manitoba. Books will be available for purchase following the St. Paul's Day Mass at 11:00 am and the Academic Awards presentations at 12:30 pm. The price for a book is $45.

College Community Inspired Upcoming Book

Readers of the upcoming book on St. Paul's College - University of Manitoba will definitely notice incredible diversity among the contributors. The inspiration and initiative to produce the book originated with the same community who ultimately wrote it - faculty, staff, administrators, students, alumni, cafeteria staff, friends of the College, and others. It will be a "must read" for anyone connected to St. Paul's College and the University of Manitoba.

The first official book launch of Facing the New Millennium (a new book chronicling the history, events and life at St. Paul's College - University of Manitoba) will be held at St. Paul's College at noon on Sunday January 24.
